What is this label for?
The DHL parcel label is the standard label for domestic parcels in the DHL network. It carries everything acceptance, sorting and delivery need: sender and recipient, the shipment number with application identifier (00) as GS1-128 and the routing code (403) that the parcel centres use to route the shipment. The template follows the layout of the DHL sample, every value is bound to a record field and can be filled from a shop, ERP or spreadsheet.
What this template contains
- Product name and brand in the header
- Sender with three name lines, street, postcode/city and country
- Sender contact and recipient contact
- Recipient with address bracket, three name lines and country in bold
- GoGreen note and size class (10+)
- Billing number, shipment reference, shipment number, date and weight
- Cash-on-delivery mark with amount and branch-routing field
- Two empty fields for delivery notes
- Routing code as GS1-128 (403) with human readable text
- Shipment number as GS1-128 (00) with human readable text
- Name/version of the shipping software
When to use it
- Domestic DHL parcels from shop or ERP systems
- Batch printing of shipping labels from data sources
- Cash-on-delivery shipments and shipments with branch redirect
- Testing sorting and scanning processes with realistic GS1-128 barcodes
How to edit it in the editor
Open it in the visual editor, bind the fields to your shipment data and generate one label per record. Delete the cash-on-delivery and branch-routing fields or hide them per shipment through the record metadata.
FAQ
Is this an official DHL label?
No. The template reproduces the layout of the DHL sample so you can design and test your own shipping labels with the same fields. For real shipments the shipment number and routing code come from your DHL business customer contract.
How are routing code and shipment number encoded?
Both barcodes are GS1-128. The shipment number uses application identifier (00) with 18 digits including the check digit, the routing code uses application identifier (403). The human readable line under the bars is generated automatically.
Can I change the size?
Yes. The label is set up as 100 × 200 mm; dimensions and positions can be adjusted in the editor.
