What is this label for?

Every carton in an FBA shipment needs its own box label with the box ID from the shipment plan. The dock scans the barcode, matches the carton to the shipment and checks the box count. This layout follows the structure of the Seller Central labels and prints from a CSV with one row per carton.

What this template includes

ship from and ship to (fulfillment center with code, street, city)
shipment ID and box n of m
box ID (18 characters) as Code 128 with interpretation line
contents line (SKU / quantity or "Mixed SKU")
4 × 6 in (101.6 × 152.4 mm), 203 dpi

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the label Amazon generates instead?

Yes - Seller Central provides the box label as PDF or ZPL. The ZPL can be imported with "ZPL to design"; this template is the alternative when you print from your own data source.

How long is the box ID?

18 characters: shipment ID (11) + U + six-digit box number, e.g. FBA15ABCDEFU000001. With ^BY3 the barcode and its quiet zones fit into 4 in.

Where does the label go?

On the side of the carton, never on top, bottom or over seams; all edges taped, barcode uncovered.
