Pallets going to Amazon by carrier carry a pallet label on all four sides. Sellers print the shipment ID and pallet number; vendors shipping with an ASN identify each pallet with an SSCC, printed as GS1-128 with application identifier (00).

Frequently asked questions
How is the SSCC encoded?
As GS1-128 (Code 128 with FNC1) with application identifier (00) before the 18 digits; the human-readable line shows "(00) 3 4012345 000000001 7".
How many labels per pallet?
Four, one per side, at 400 to 1500 mm height on the stretch wrap - not under the wrap and not over its seam.
Is 203 dpi enough?
Yes. GS1-128 with ^BY3 or ^BY4 scans reliably at 203 dpi as long as the whole barcode fits inside the label width.
